Major Robert Alexander Lowry, son of Robert Lowry and Ellen Starke. Robert's father Robert Lowry was the original owner and selector of Portion 201, parish of Warner. Robert was part of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces when he joined the Queensland Medical Corps, he served in the Australian Army Medical Corp South Africa January 1902 to August 1902. He rose through the ranks and when he enlisted on 17 October 1914 he was given the rank of Honorary Captain in the Australian Medical Corp.
