She married James Walker on 14 November 1872 in Ballymena, Antrim, Northern Ireland. Their daughter Agnes Walker was born on 11 March 1874 at Appletree, Antrim, Northern Ireland. James Walker died on 8 October 1876 at Appletree, Antrim. Margaret and her daughter Agnes arrived in Moreton Bay on the Newcastle on 14 November 1877. She married Joseph Fisher on 16 September 1880 in Fortitude Valley. Joe Fisher purchased property at Mt Pleasant on 28 May 1887. It is shown as Portion 91 Parish of Pine.
