TitleJames Andrew Berkley (Andy) Junner, Mt PleasantDescriptionJames Andrew Berkley (Andy) Junner was born on 2 January 1898 at Brisbane, to parents Alexander Junner and Jessie Campbell Newlands. James Andrew Berkley Junner enlisted for military service in World War One (World War I or WWI) on 8 June 1916. He embarked for overseas on 21 October 1916 on HMAT Boonah and returned from overseas on 20 July 1919 on HT Mahia. He was enrolled on the Pine Rivers Electoral Roll on 14 March 1920 at Mt Pleasant. On 1 February 1921, Portion 92 Parish of Pine containing an area of 195 acres and Subdivision 3 of Portion 77 Parish of Pine containing an area of 3 acres 1 rood 22 perches, was transferred into the names of J.H. & J.A. Junner. It would appear that the property was not actually owned by Junner Bros. but by one of the brothers, James Andrew Berkley (Andy) Junner, and their sister Jane Hellen (Nell) Junner. The property, which was known as Burnside, was certainly run by Junner Bros. until Andy's death in a Brisbane private hospital on 6 October 1948. They appear in the 1921 Wise's Queensland Directory as Junner Bros. Farmers, Mt Pleasant. Albert Edward Newlands (Ted) Junner was enrolled on the Pine Rivers Electoral Roll on 10 April 1923. Their parents, Alexander Junner and Jessie Campbell Junner were both enrolled on 30 August 1933 with their address being given as Burnside, Mt Pleasant. Jane Hellen Junner appears on the roll at that address on 28 September 1933. She did not marry.CollectorChambers, Stanley JohnRecord typePhotographFormat typePhysicalOriginal format colourSepia
