TitleHenry (Harry) Glover and his wife Jessie Glover (nee Woodward)DescriptionHenry (Harry) Glover was born 21 February 1864 at Brisbane, to parents Amos Glover and Edith Hutchins. He married Jessie Woodward on 24 December 1891. Jessie Woodward was born in 1871 at Horn Hill, Buckinghamshire, England, to parents Robert George Woodward and Ann Hipathite. Jessie arrived in Moreton Bay on the Darling Downs on 5 November 1874 with her parents, three brothers and four sisters. (Refer to MBPS-0003-023 for a photograph of her brother James (Jim) Woodward). Harry's parents Amos and Edith Glover arrived in Moreton Bay on the Ascendant on 19 June 1858, with their young son and daughter. Another five sons and one daughter were born in Queensland. The Glover family lived at Armstrong Creek. On 21 January 1887 Henry (Harry) Glover selected Portion 143 Parish of Samsonvale containing an area of 157 acres. This property was transferred into his father Amos's name on 5 February 1889. Amos Glover had earlier acquired Portion 55V Parish of Samsonvale containing an area of 80 acres, on 9 August 1888. On 14 June 1900 Henry Glover selected Portion 89V Parish of Samsonvale containing an area of 156 acres 2 roods 28 perches. On 9 April 1902 Henry Glover acquired Portion 103 Parish of Samsonvale containing an area of 354 acres. Harry and Jessie Glover had two sons and three daughters. Jessie died on 10 July 1923 and Henry (Harry) died on 1 April 1936.
