TitleKerr WhalliDescriptionKerr Whalli of the Ninghi Ninghi Tribe Toorbul Point opposite the southern end of Bribie Island Queensland. Born prior to 24 September 1824 when Lieutenant Miller of the 40th Regiment, Lieutenant Oxley and thirty (30) prisoners landed from the Brig Amity at Redcliffe Point to begin European settlement in Queensland. One of the 25 Aboriginal people who in 1862 accompanied Tom Petrie on a cedar cutting expedition to an unnamed creek. This creek now known as Petrie Creek flows through the town of Nambour on the Sunshine Coast Queensland. Kerr Whalli was known as King Sandy.
