TitleMr Douglas JollyDescriptionMr Douglas Jolly donated money towards plaques commemorating significant historical events such as Ludwig Leichardt's visit to Durundur Station (Plaque at Cruice Park Woodford), Flinders Landing at Bribie Island (Plaque at Apex Park Bongaree), John Oxley's Landing (Plaque at Sandstone Point). Mr Jolly was born at Kent Road Wooloowin Brisbane on 3 July 1908. He passed away in 1989. His career as a Chartered Accountant commenced in his father's practice of Robinson & Jolly and when his father passed away in 1955 Mr Jolly took charge until his retirement in 1984 when control passed to his nephew Mr Neville Jolly. Douglas Jolly was a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants and of The Australian Society of Accountants. He was very actively involved in the National Parks Association of Queensland since joining in 1930 and was Tour Director from 1976 to 1984 when he was made a fellow of the Society.
