Five years later they applied for a homestead block of land on Browns Creek and that was the start of their establishment. The centenary celebrations of the McCullagh freeholding of the Browns Creek Narangba land were held at the homestead of Morrie Duncombe of Duncombe Road which was part of the original settlement.
