One of the last Aboriginal people in the area. Menvil Wanmuarn known as Jackie Delaney (Dlaney) was the last male member of the Aboriginal Tribe which roamed the Upper Caboolture - Burpengary area lies buried on Portion 71 Parish of Caboolture County of Stanley. He died in January 1900. The plaque is located on the south bank of Burpengary Creek (known as Stoney Creek in early days) on property owned by Australian Paper Manufacturers. In February 1959 members of the Caboolture Historical Society placed a plaque an a big tree stump which marks his last camping place. Mr George Brown, a pioneer from Narangba was responsible for this memorial. In the photograph Mr George Brown is standing with his hands on the tree stump. Mr and Mrs Frank Sampson of Moorina stand by on that day in 1959. Refer to Pages 21 to 22 of the publication From Spear & Musket.
