TitleFerndale School (via Wamuran) in 1896DescriptionThe Ferndale Provisional School was situated on the southern side of Wararba Creek some 1 1/2km south west of the present (1998) school on the D'Aguilar Highway. The original school was conducted in Mr Soren Jensen's house then in a school on his property and later in a school on Old North Road at Wamuran. The Ferndale School closed in 1913 and was moved to Bracalba. Note the bark roof held on by poles which appear to be sprouting leaves.
