TitleBastin's pioneer home at NingiDescriptionThe Bastin Family lived on the southern side of Ningi Creek on Portion 11v Parish of Toorbul. The neighbouring properties were Portion 10 - W.J. Mills (north), Portion 32 - T. Hussey (west), Portion 9v - O.G. Bestmann (southwest), Portion 8v - H.C. Bestmann (south), Portion 13v - H. Bestmann (south) and Portion 14v - Unknown. The children used to row across Ningi Creek (with the Bestmann children) and then walk a considerable distance to the Toorbul School. This is an excellent example of a settler's home built from a limited choice of both materials and implements.
