Caboolture was first settled when Andrew Gregor went to Gregor's Creek, a tributary of the Caboolture River at what is now called Upper Caboolture. He had a property named Old Caboolture Station (later named Forgie). At the age of 37, Mr Gregor and his housekeeper Mary Shannon were killed by aboriginal people on 18 October 1846.
