Beachmere Memorial

TitleBeachmere MemorialDescriptionThis is the second Beachmere Memorial, the first was erected in 1996 and replaced with this obelisk in 2008. The plaques from the old Memorial are now on the new Memorial. This memorial stands as a tribute to all service men and women who served their country in time or war and peace and to honour those who paid the supreme sacrifice.Date10 November 1996Location of originalMain Road and Moreton Terrace, Beachmere QLD 4510Original formatBlack marble obelisk with five plaques attached. Memorial has two steps at the base and a cross on top. Memorial walls surround the obelisk in a pavered courtyard with a cross design in sandstone around the obelisk. LanguageEnglish
