The map shows railways and stations, post offices, telegraph offices, postal routes, telegraph lines and the annual rainfall for 1887. Rainfall information compiled from data supplied by Clement L. Wragge, F.R.G.S., F.R. Met. Soc., &c., Government Meteorologist. The Diameters of the red circles are proportional to the amount of rain.
