TitleThree Frahm brothers, pioneers of the Strathpine areaDescriptionThree Frahm brothers, pioneers of the Strathpine area. Brothers in the photograph from left to right - Frederick Charles Frahm (b. 1892), William James Frahm (1888-1959) and Herbert Lawrence Frahm (1894-1951). Frederick Charles married Christina Caroline Herman in 1924, William James married Isabella Blyth Murphy in 1921 and Herbert Lawrence married Edith Lena Broad in 1924. Although William James and Herbert Lawrence remained in the Strathpine area, Frederick Charles moved to Traveston. The parents of the brothers, Johann Frederick Christoff Frahm and Pauline Ottilie (nee Krenz), selected 130 acres of land (Portions 224 and 256, Parish of Warner) on the south bank of Four Mile Creek in the Strathpine district. As Johann and Pauline had 11 children, many descendants remain in the Pine Rivers region.Record typePhotographFormat typePhysicalOriginal format colourBlack and white
