TitleStubbings family farm, Laceys CreekDescriptionMoses Stubbings (1859-1933) left his home in Essex, England, as a young teenager. After migrating to Victoria, he made his way to Queensland, eventually selecting 155 acres of land at Laceys Creek in 1879. After his 1882 marriage to Sarah Strain (1865-1936), the daughter of a well-known local pioneering family, he gradually built up extensive land holdings for his dairy cows, pigs and crops. The farm is still in the hands of his descendants.Record typePhotographFormat typePhysicalOriginal format colourSepia
