Harry Easlea (1847-1917) with his wife, Martha (nee Johnson) (1858-1934), and their young family moved to the Laceys Creek area in 1889 to work on the dairy farm owned by his uncle, Samuel Raynbird. A short time later, Harry took up a selection of an adjoining block to establish his own dairy farm. Eventually, the family also purchased his uncle's property.
