TitleMount Pleasant Hall, ca. 1917DescriptionIn 1910 a piece of land became available for the establishment of the Mount Pleasant School of Arts. The land, part of Portion 77, was located at the junction of the Mount Brisbane and Mount Pleasant Roads. Local residents raised funds to build the hall. Don Macaskill and John Bond were the carpenters and working bees were held to help with the construction of the building. The hall, which also boasted a library, quickly became a source of great pride and satisfaction to local families.
