TitlePostcard showing the view looking south along Gympie Road through Strathpine, 1920DescriptionThe home on the left, then owned by Aubrey and Ruby Austin, stands on land which is now part of Westfield Strathpine. The Austin family's house was moved in 1931 to the opposite side of Gympie Road (to the present site of Strathpine Toyota), then later to another unknown destination. The building on the right was John Dow's bakery and general store. The Old Shire Hall can be seen in the distance at the right. The Clyde Hotel (hidden behind Dow's store) stood near the site of today's Four Mile Creek Hotel. Jack Barbour's store and the home of the Fredericks family are faintly visible in the distance to the left of the Old Shire Hall.
