TitlePostcard showing the road bridge and railway bridge over the North Pine River, Petrie in the 1930sDescriptionThis is the existing low level bridge, opened in 1936, which spans the North Pine River south of Petrie. The North Coast Railway bridge can be seen in the background. Construction of the higher bridge, which was built on the downstream side of the old bridge, commenced in 1987. During 1988, the bridges were jointly named the A.J. Wyllie Bridge to commemorate Alexander Jackson Wyllie (1854-1934).
