TitleTerrors Creek Creamery, late 19th centuryDescriptionThis photograph, so labelled in the Gold Collection, is difficult to interpret. Although the bridge in the foreground may be the first Terrors Creek bridge, none of the buildings in the background are recognisable. It has been conjectured that the photograph could have been taken well before the establishment of the dairy industry in the 1890s and that the buildings may have been associated with William Henry Day's sugar growing enterprise. The photograph also shows uncleared rainforest (riverine closed forest) to the right of the Terrors Creek bridge.Datelate 1800sPhotographerGold, HenryCollectorGold CollectionRecord typePhotographFormat typePhysicalOriginal format colourBlack and whiteNotesReproduced in the publication Tracks and Times, p.22.
