The main building, which can be seen in this photograph, was originally the Albany Creek State School head teacher's residence. It was moved to John Scott Park by the Pine Rivers Shire Council in 1985. The Samford District Historical Museum Society (Inc.) opened the Museum on 10 May 1986.
