Publication of this title was suspended in April 2020 due to COVID-19. From 30 June 2020 publication ceased as a result of the publisher’s decision to cancel print publication of several regional newspapers and make them available online only.
The coverage area for this title was previously serviced by Northern times (Pine Rivers ed.) which subsequently combined with Northern times (Caboolture-Bribie Island ed.) to become a single, weekly newspaper entitled Northern times (Strathpine, Qld.)
From Aug. 12, 2005 the Northern times (Strathpine, Qld.) split into two editions: Northern times (Pine Rivers ed, : 2005-2013) and Northern times (Caboolture ed. : 2005-2013).
