Williams became a Pine Shire Councillor in 1939, Councillor Williams was Deputy Chairman 1946 to 1951 he resigned in 1951 when he moved to Morayfield. Charles’s hard work and involvement with Caboolture Show Inc has been recognised officially with the naming of Williams Pavilion in his honour. Pine Rivers Shire Council renamed the street in Dayboro in September 1962. Williams Street from Terrors Creek Bridge to the Crown Hotel is a reminder of the local government service of all the local Williams family Members.
