Dickson Park was gazetted in May 1986, it was dedicated in the subdivision of Sub 1 Portion 14 Parish of Caboolture (Morayfield Road, Morayfield) by T. & D. J. Dickson. Thomas Dickson and Dorothy Jean Dickson were the registered proprietors of Sub 1 on RP 13761, Portion 14 Parish of Caboolture, containing an area of 14.4549ha and situated in Morayfield Road. They subdivided an area of 2ha of their property in February 1985 and at the same time dedicated an area for a park. The council approved this application and named the park Dickson Park.
