Alf Shaw Park, Strathpine (Qld.)

Alfred George Shaw was elected to Division Two in Pine Rivers shire in 1979. After only five months he reluctantly tendered his resignation from council. He had been chosen to present the commentary on a world feather-weight boxing championship, this was his lifetime ambition. His career spanned more then 25 years in radio and television and commented on a variety of sports. Alf Shaw Park is not far from his home in Strathpine where he lived with his wife and daughters.
