The area called Anzac Place is unallocated state land within the Anzac Avenue road reserve. Originally this section of land was within a freehold parcel of land, created on Moreton District Agricultural Reserve Plan, Mar 6110 in 1861, within portion 23. In the 1862 Redcliffe Agricultural Reserve land sales, Tom Petrie was forced to purchase the property on which his homestead Murrumba was sited, the remainder of portion 23. Regularly over the years more land was resumed to make way for roads and the railway and in 1923 SL916 (Anzac Place) was dedicated as a road reserve created by RP30225.
