H.T. Ireland Reserve, Eatons Hill (Qld.)
Councillor Henry Thomas Ireland was elected to represent Subdivision Three of Caboolture Divisional Board in January 1887. One of the nine men who nominated and were declared elected when unopposed 29 February 1888, was Henry Thomas Ireland. When the first meeting of the Pine Divisional Board was held in his home on South Pine Road, Mr Ireland was unanimously elected to be the Chairman. He continued to serve Pine Divisional Board for the years 1889 to 1892, and as a Subdivision Two member for years 1892 to 1898, being again elected to chair the board in both 1893 and 1894. Henry Ireland who married Mary McCartney in 1864 was the father of five sons and three daughters. A successful crop farmer, Mr Ireland was also an active member of the Warner school committee. Henry Thomas Ireland died 15 August 1915 aged 78, burial Lutwyche Cemetery.
