Roderick A Cruice Park, Dayboro (Qld.)

Councillor of Pine Rivers, Roderick Anthony Cruice was born 1905 and first elected in 1993 representing Division Three, he served until 1949. In 1951 Rody returned to the council and was re-elected in 1952 to 1958 and again from 1961 until 1970. Rody was elected by fellow councillors to the position of Deputy Shire Chairman in the 1943, 1955, 1961, 1964 and 1967 councils. The two terms he was not a member of council, he had unsuccessfully nominated as shire chairman. Rody Cruice served a total of thirty-one and a half years with Pine Rivers Council. He died June 1978 aged 72, burial Dayboro Cemetery.
