Dedicated to the memory of Walter Fredrick Greensill, born in Brisbane on February 9th 1896. Walter lived in Kobble Creek near Samsonvale until enlisting in the Army on June 14th 1916. After training at Enoggera, Walter left Australia aboard the troop ship A36 'Boona' bound for Plymouth on October 21st, 1916. After further training in Egypt, Walter landed in France in June 1917 and served with the 41st . Walter Fredrick Greensill died in France from gunshot wounds sustained in July 1917.
