Wendy Allison Park, Strathpine (Qld.)

Councillor of Pine Rivers, Ruby Ellen Allison, known as Wendy, was the first female Pine Rivers Shire Councillor for Division Two. She commenced her local government service in 1967 and topped the 1970 Division Two poll. Wendy became Deputy Shire Chairman. Wendy was unsuccessful at the 1973 poll. Ruby Ellen Allison died 23 June 1987 aged 73, burial Pinnaroo Cemetery. The park was originally named Ruby E. Allison Park
