Boama Park, Deception (Qld.)

Boama Park was named for Sammy Bell whose Aboriginal name was said to be ‘Boama’. Sammy is presumed to be the last of his tribe on the Redcliffe Peninsula and he died in 1913. He was a protégé of Mrs Harriet Bell.
