Jamieson Park was named for Mr J H Jamieson a resident of Scarborough. [See item below] This recent photograph shows part of the area at Reef Point Esplanade, Scarborough, now officially known as Jamieson Park. The full council agreed at its last monthly meeting that it be so named in recognition of the work done by Mr. J. H. Jamieson who has kept the flower beds tended for some years as a contribution to the community. The beds, which front his and other homes on the esplanade were provided by the council and Mr. Jamieson has always kept them well stocked with blooms. At certain times of the year they are exceptionally brilliant and have brought forth many compliments from tourists.
