K.R. Benson Park, Clontarf (Qld.)

K R Benson Park was named for Kevin Benson in recognition of his support for the netball club and the interest he showed in its progress and activities. Kevin Ronald Benson was born in Redcliffe in 1936. Formerly an A grade Rugby League player for Redcliffe, Kevin was elected alderman for the Redcliffe City Council in 1967, 1970, 1973, and held the position of Deputy Mayor for the 1976 term.
