DESCRIPTION
Description
Ephemera, manuscripts, photographs, slides and objects related to sculptor Marc Clark.
Marc Clark (20 October 1923 – 12 September 2021) lived a rich and varied life, living in different countries, serving in the Second World War, and teaching at numerous art institutions, all the while committed to the pursuit of art.
His experimentations with colour and form stretched from his student days at the Royal College of Art in London, to his productive retirement in Deception Bay. Sculpture, drawing and painting all reveal his lifelong interest in architecture, abstraction and the female form.
Marc passed away on 12 September 2021, at the age of 97. Many of his artworks as well as this collection were donated to the City of Moreton Bay.
