William Thomas Isles Jackson was the son of William Henry Jackson and Jane Eleanor Steed who lived at Morayfield, Queensland. He was 42 years old, working as a labourer and living in Longreach, Queensland when he enlisted in April 1916. William's unit embarked from Sydney on board HMAT Hororata on 14 June 1917.
