TitleThe chipper at Morayfield where thinnings from the forests are debarked and chipped for the manufacture of wood pulpDescriptionAPM established a chipping plant at Morayfield at the corner of Station Road and Morayfield Road. Prior to their own trees reaching a suitable age (12 to 14 years), thinnings from the Queensland Forestry Department Beerwah and Beerburrum plantations were used to produce chips. Felled logs were cut and trimmed then delivered to Morayfield where they were debarked and chipped.
