TitleEdith Juffs (nee Burt)DescriptionEdith Burt was born in 1867 at Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset, England. Her mother was Louisa Burt who married Thomas Burdett on 10 April 1871 at Winfrith Newburgh just before leaving England. Thomas and Louisa Burdett and Louisa's daughter Edith (who for some unknown is recorded as Mary on the shipping list) arrived in Moreton Bay on the Indus on 21 July 1871. George Juffs was born in 1832 at Edgcott, Buckinghamshire, England to parents Thomas Juffs and Sarah Ayres. On 9 August 1889 George Juffs selected property at Ocean View, being Portion 21V Parish of Pine containing 160 acres. George Juffs and Edith Burt were married on 5 August 1907.
