TitleEllen Margaret (Nell) Cruice (nee O'Sullivan)DescriptionEllen Margaret (Nell) O'Sullivan was born on 14 July 1880 at Alpha, to parents Faugh O'Sullivan and Ellen Downes. Nell came to the district as a schoolteacher at the Upper North Pine School at Mt Pleasant on 9 July 1908. She married George Edward Cruice on 25 April 1911. George Edward Cruice was born 3 March 1875, to parents Rody Cruice and Maria Boyle (Refer to MBPS-0003-009 for a photograph of his parents). On 1 April 1921 property at Laceys Creek, being Portion 28V Parish of Samsonvale containing an area of 160 acres, was registered in the name of George Edward Cruice. As Nell was from Alpha (first letter of the Greek alphabet), they called their property Omega (last letter of the Greek alphabet). George and Nell had six sons. George Edward Cruice died on 14 July 1936. Ellen Margaret Cruice (nee O'Sullivan) died on 8 July 1969.
