He was a son of a Foundation Director C.F. Uhlmann who did most of the organising to establish the factory in December 1906. F.W. Uhlmann successfully managed the Association for 35 years giving in total 38 years of continuous and faithful service. Refer to Pages 239 to 241 of the publication From Spear & Musket.
