TitleGeneral Store of E.C. (Ernie) Thompson, ca. 1907DescriptionThe General Store of E.C. (Ernie) Thompson situated at 28 King Street Caboolture (southern side). This shop was located just east of where the present (1996) Court House is in King Street. George Frost was the next owner of the store. He delivered groceries on horseback. His brother was with him in the old store previously occupied by E.C. Thompson. This building was acquired by the Co-op (Caboolture Co-op Stores) Cash Stores in 1921 and later it became the Co-op Motor Garage and then the Mitre 10 Co-op Hardware Store. It would appear that the right hand side of the front of the shop was rented (leased??) to H. Mickle who was a hairdresser. People in the photograph from left to right - Mr Knott (Senior) who was father of Albert Knott, E.C. Thompson with child on the pony, Thompson children, Miss McPherson and Miss McPherson.
