TitleAerial view of Caboolture's central business district (CBD)DescriptionThe old railway station is visible on the western side of the rail line. This service was electrified in 1986. To the left of the photograph is the intersection of Morayfield Road, Beerburrum Road and King Street Caboolture. The Royal Hotel (Carmody's Pub) is located on the western side which made way for the Town Square Office Complex in 1996 (33 King Street). On the eastern side of Morayfield Road is the site of the new National Australia Bank which opened in 1997, just before the Caboolture River. Note that Esme Avenue has not been constructed at this point in time. It now runs between Morayfield Road and Edward Street sweeping around the yoghurt factory and under the railway bridge. This photograph was taken in 1979.Date1979PhotographerQueensland Department of Mapping and SurveyingCollectorQueensland Department of Mapping and SurveyingRecord typeAerial photographFormat typePhysicalOriginal format colourBlack and white
