The property was what is now (1997) the corner of MacDonald Street and Ford Street Bribie Island. This parcel of land was auctioned in 1914 but was not purchased by the Somervilles until after the auction for 6 pounds in 1920. The Somervilles were the original owners of the block which was subdivided into 3 blocks.
