The theatre was started by Mr Matt Zanow (owner of a sawmill in Caboolture) and was continued on by Mr Bill Harrison. Mr Ted Boustead was the second manager of the cinema. Mr Boustead was 15 years old when he started helping in the Projection Room of the Empire Picture Theatre when it opened in 1917.
