Ted worked for the Buchanan's of Burpengary around 1919 when their dairy farm was the biggest on the north coast. He hand milked up to 70 cows a day (part of the herd). Buchanan's had a steam driven separator, the biggest in Queensland. Ted Newton's memories of Caboolture and district extend over seventy years when this photograph was taken.
