The dental unit consisted of Captain W.O. Cavanagh (Qld), Senior Sergeant K. Wood (SA), Corporal C. Austin (Qld and privates J. Mitchell and L. Wilkins (SA). In this photograph they are in a boat borrowed from oyster farm caretaker Bert Clinker whose house was next to the 12 bed hospital established during World War II.
