George Brook and a man named Bill Woods were later killed when a house that they were renovating at Woorim fell on them. Mr Tom Fenwick, a retired sea captain, was operating the post office from the Brisbane Tug & Steamship Company caretaker's house when Mr Clayton suggested that a new post office be built.
