Alice Mawson Reserve, Kallangur (Qld.)

Alice Mawson, who was born on 18 July 1926, was employed by the Pine Rivers Shire Council as an office cleaner from 20 December 1965 until 21 December 1990. As she passed away within three years of retiring, the Reserve was named to commemorate her impressive 25 years length of service. The Community and Environment Committee meeting of 20 January 1994 noted that Committee attended the official opening of the Alice Mawson Reserve, along with Frank Mawson and other family members.
