England Park, Brendale (Qld.)
David England (1883-19070 first purchased land in the south Pine (now Brendale) area in 1866 and from that time onwards, he progressively built up extensive land holdings in this vicinity which he farmed with the assistance of his second wife Jane (nee Dickson) and his two children Mary Jane and Joseph. Always interested in public affairs, David England was an elected member of the South Pine River Road trust from 1871 and the Warner School committee from 1873. Prior to the opening of a new Wesleyan Church in the area in 1871 build from timber which was donated by the family, religious services were held in the England home. David England also later served on the Caboolture Divisional Board from 1883 until 1887. Second and third generation descendants maintained the England family's association with land in the Brendale area until the 1970s.
