Melva Reserve, Ferny Hills (Qld.)

Originally named Melva Park but after community consultation and discussion with Melva Welch the name will be changed to Melva Reserve. The name change will reflect the heavily vegetated nature of the area. Melva Welch is an historian of the Pine Rivers area and frequently helps council with history enquiries. She was editor of the newspaper 'The Adviser' and was instrumental in welcoming new family to the 'Hills District'
