TitleCentenary Lakes (Stage one) near Morayfield Road in 2024 - 2-14 Elliott Street CabooltureDescriptionThe lakes area closest to Morayfield Road (in the background) were originally built in ca. 1976 but were redeveloped to include a fountain at the southern end and landscaping on the embankment at the northern end near the intersection of Elliott Street and Morayfield Road Caboolture. This landscaping included gardens, garden paths and a pergola area at the top of the embankment. In 1979 a plaque was unveiled by the then Premier of Queensland, Sir Joh Bjelke-Peterson to celebrate the official opening of Centenary Lakes (A Tribute to Our Pioneers) as part of the Caboolture Shire Centenary Celebrations which were held on 10 November 1979. The actual date for the centenary was 11 November 1979. Since then this area has undergone various transformations and revitalisation projects to improve the precinct.
